Is this girlfriend the girl that the Lord would have you to marry? If not, why are you with her? Take a step back from the physical. Not kissing at all stops temptation. If she is to be your wife, then you can kiss and make out as much as you want after marriage. But if temptation is a problem, not kissing before marriage works to stop temptation before marriage. I know couples who have done this that their first kiss is at the altar. Don't let the enemy lie and rob you of God's will.
