The Real Plan of God

Jeremiah 20, verses seven and nine, say: “O Lord, you induced me, and I was persuaded. You are stronger than I and have prevailed. I am in derision daily; everyone mocks me. Then I said I will not make mention of him nor speak anymore in his name. But his word was in my heart like a burning fire shut up in my bones. I was weary of holding it back, and I could not.”

I want you to know the trial you’re going through is not unique. Others have had to go through it before. Jeremiah thought that God had deceived him when in reality, Jeremiah had deceived himself. Simply put, he felt his vision for his future was the same as God’s. It wasn’t.

Despite his misunderstanding, the call of God was still strong upon Jeremiah. We, too, can get up today and go on.

It’s time to pray.

Gladness, Confidence and Provision

Psalm 104, beginning at verse 14, says, “He causes the grass to grow for the cattle and vegetation for the service of man, that he may bring forth food from the earth and wine that makes glad the heart of man, oil to make his face shine, and bread, which strengthens man’s heart.”

This Psalm tells us that the Lord sustains everything He created. Gladness is part of the abundant life that Jesus promised to give us. Another part is an exterior confidence that testifies to the inward presence of a never-failing God.

God gives provision through every promise to us to do in us what He alone can perform. Don’t live today beneath what God desires and can provide you. Let Him become your all-in-all.

It’s time to pray.
